Savor the season

photo

Do you know the expression "solar term"?

It means that one year is divided into 24 seasons, and it has been used since the Edo Period.
Well known examples would include the spring equinox and the summer solstice and there are others that represent the climate, such as "frost descent" and "grain rain." It seems that agriculture in Japan has been carried out on the basis of the solar term from ancient times.

For that reason it has deep ties with the seasonality of food, and vegetables such as "winter solstice pumpkin" carry these solar term names.
I think everyone knows that vegetables in season are highly nutritious and rich in taste. Please try eating a meal where you are aware of the solar term and the associated seasonality of the foods.
Surely you can send life body rejoice .
